Words of Wisdom
“Life is like a game of Solitaire: You only need the Ace of Spades, but it's underneath all the other cards.” — Gordon P. Hemsley

As you may have noticed, I having been posting very much here anymore. My thoughts and opinions don't appear to be valued by very many people, so I won't be posting here much in the future, either. (For the few that actually do value my thoughts and opinions, you know where to find me.)

A few months have come and gone, without much hoorah. I'm still the same ol', well, lovesick person I was the last time I posted. (Maybe moreso now; I couldn't tell you.) But no longer are you, the general public, privy to any more of that information. If I deem you acceptable, you may personally pry that knowledge from me.

As for the status of CMSformE and all the other wonderful goodies that I develop, you'd best travel over to The GP Factory. All future updates will be posted there.

That's about all for me.

Woah... Calm Yourself!
Hoo, boy. I appear to have incited a riot. Apparently someone does not like being announced as to have linked to my blog. This person, whoever they are, did not even have the courage to post from their own computer. Instead, they posted from a school computer.

Being the kind of person that I am, I'm not going to delete the approximately ten comments that were posted. You're free to say what you want and I have no right to disallow you to, even if this is my blog. I did, however, disable comments from anonymous users. If you want to argue with me, insult me, or post comments about anything else, then you'll have to login. I personally don't care what the comments said, I just don't need spam all over the place. You may want to apologize to Jimmy, though. I don't know how he came up in any of this....

When you have the decency to say these things to my face, then I'll care.

Have a nice day.

Um... Happy New Year?
Alrighty.... It's a new year. Will it be happy? I don't know. But I'll put money on it being better than last year.

Actually, New Year's was a drag. There wasn't even any celebrating like there usually is—my mom had a procedure done on her knee and my dad had to work the next day, so they both were sleeping before midnight. I just watched NBC all night and I think my sister watched ABC. I don't know. It doesn't really matter all that much.

And then, of course, this week was pretty bad. Monday started the week off with what is now kind of funny: the evil social studies teacher known as Mrs. Quinn (somehow formerly known as Ms. Palacio) gave me and four others detention for packing up too early, even though we had basically finished whatever it was that she told us to do. Had she actually gone through with it, that would have been my first detention ever. (Those of you with your jaws on the floor don't know me well enough.) Instead, she revoked it the next day, citing the fact that "she couldn't stay after today". I seriously hate that lady. She's evil, no doubt about it.

For the majority of this week, we've had homework in every class. Because of that, and everything else that I do, I stayed up till probably 5 AM each of those days. That's less than two hours of sleep each night, but then there was about three hours of nap time the following afternoon. Last night I fell asleep watching TV, woke up at 3 AM with no homework done, and just went upstairs and got ready for bed. Luckily, I didn't have much at all, so I just did it in lunch really quick. This weekend is gonna be annoying, though.

Now that I've basically summed up the week, I get today. I don't know if ironic is the right word, but today my grandparents came up to New York from the same part of Florida that Alexa is going back to. I wouldn't surprised if they both used the same plane. So that'll be over a week of alternative methods of doing pretty much everything—my parents are sleeping down here in the basement for this period of time, which means that I can't stay up on the computer and/or doing my homework for as long as I usually do. That's gonna be bad. Really bad. Not fun. It means I can't pull all-nighters coding (Josh, be quiet... I'll get to it eventually) or watching TV then doing my homework. And the days will be different, too, with my grandparents here for pretty much the whole time. Don't expect a progress report until after they leave, though. I'm sure you weren't anyway.

I hope now that people aren't crying. I've updated. Heh. Only one last thing to find out.

Merry Giftmas
Hello friends, better friends, and strangers! This is my first article with content since November 12th and it brings news of the wonderful presents that I got the other day.

I suppose I'll start off with that. It's been a Christmas Giftmas of large, expensive gifts, so there's not a whole bunch of quantity to report. Instead, quality: on top of the $75 cash and the $30 giftcard to Borders/Waldenbooks, I got a new electric bass quitar and amp, a nice new comfortable chair for the computer, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for the Nintendo GameCube and player's guide, a stand for my keyboard (the instrument), a book that I keep forgetting the name (though I believe it has the word "Norris" in its title), and some clothes. Also, my sister got an electric drumset, but apparently all of the instruments are "for the family", so everything's everyone's.... Also, I forgot to mention the two pairs of headphones so that the parental units can't hear the wonderful music we're playing.

Now for the tentative stuff. I'm thinking about having a New Year's party (even though Casey is advising against it). I'm wondering who would be available/want to come. If anyone's interested (only include my out-of-state friends if they plan on actually getting here), let me know by posting a comment, sending an e-mail, or IMing me. I'm just throwing it out there. If I feel there are a sufficient number of people, I'll ask my mom. (I'm wondering what she'll say, though, because she's having a knee operation around that time....) Just please note that, since it's me, there will be no illegal (by law) activity. You have been warned.

The other thing that I was thinking about, and this may be hard to picture, is dying my hair blue. It has nothing to do with anything (I'm still the same person), other than the fact that my hair has a blue-ish tint when it's wet, and I was wondering what it would look like always that color. I would put the blue straight on the brown, no bleaching or anything beforehand. Opinions are welcome.

Now, on the technical front (which is where most of you fall asleep), there is some good news and some bad news regarding CMSformE. I'll start with the bad news: Milestone 4 (0.0.4) was scheduled to be released November 9th, but has not yet been released, and I don't know when I'll be finished with it. The good news, though, is that Josh has been working on the next release, 0.1.0, throughout this time. This means that, as soon as M4 is released, major work begins on the 0.1.x branch, most of which has been completed. Basically, I just have to write the modules system, touch up the code and whatnot, and then 0.1.0 will be released. Now, I don't know how long of a timeframe after M4, but I'm guessing it'll be less than the usual 4 months (or, in this case, 5 months and counting).

That is all.

Guy Humor? No More
I've got every reason on earth to be mad
'Cause I just lost the only girl I had
If I could get my way
I'd get myself locked up today
but I can't, so I'll cry instead

"I'll Cry Instead", The Beatles

So... It appears that my female audience is closer in number to my male audience as I originally thought. Therefore, my pathetic attempts at "guy humor" will no longer be available here. (I'm sure you have enough trouble dealing my pathetic attempts at regular humor, anyway....)

So, I apologize to those of you who looked forward to the "guy humor", which was... none of you.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled sigh.
